To keep ideas from Xiaoyuzhou or Apple Podcasts, save a specific episode link and its notes. Episode notes, audio and transcripts are different objects: a description does not mean the full recording or transcript is available.
Verify notes and audio separately

Actual extension UI with example data. Identifies controls; does not demonstrate successful source capture or upload.
Open a specific Xiaoyuzhou episode or one episode within an Apple Podcasts show. Confirm the episode title before copying or sharing its link. On a computer, choose Save page from the extension on that episode page.
| What you want | How to verify it | If missing |
|---|---|---|
| Guests, books and references | Read saved notes and check one reference link | Consult the episode page; do not infer from its cover |
| An idea at a timestamp | Keep the approximate time and replay the source | Preserve the lead without inventing a quotation |
| Offline audio | Open a local playable file and check a middle segment | Inspect attachments; a player cover is not proof |
| Full transcript | Confirm completion and the needed passage | Resolve processing or wait; notes cannot substitute |
A replay example
Suppose notes say “18:20: discussion of reading methods.” Keep that timestamp and the episode link, then replay it before writing down the point. A transcript containing only the opening minutes cannot summarize the later discussion. This timestamp is illustrative, not an observation of a real episode.
A large file or partial transcript
Identify whether acquisition or transcription failed. If audio was never obtained, generating another summary cannot recover it. If audio plays but transcription is unfinished, inspect processing progress. Long episodes may need a different path, and browser uploads and native processing have different limits. Repeatedly changing source links is not a way around those limits.
Long or restricted episodes
Long recordings may encounter size, duration or processing limits. A speech-oriented compressed copy is not original audio quality. Saving a link does not unlock paid or private episodes. Check the current app version, access requirements and task state for processing and sync capabilities.
Is this a music downloader?
No. Podcast capture does not imply that all audio can be downloaded. For example, saved NetEase Music song information is not a complete recording or lyrics. Keep track of the source and the content actually available.
To revisit books and articles mentioned in an episode, continue with saving show notes and references.
